Mom, Incorporated Comes to Atlanta

October 3, 2011

Being a wife, mother, cook, chauffeur, etc. etc. etc., requires extreme support from many directions. Then taking the plunge to become a business owner is a manuever that reaches far beyond the realm of what would be considered sensible. In fact, some call it down right crazy. But it can be done.

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a panel of ladies that have jumped into business ownership and lived to write about it. They are also wives, mothers, your best girlfriends and everything in between. Authors Aliza Sherman and Danielle Smith of Mom, Incorporated stopped in Atlanta, GA during their book tour at the cozy, chic Green Room. Owners of The Green Room Terri J. Vaughn and and Shannon Nash were the perfect hostesses to this intimate affair. There were also tasty treats and fantastic wines from Wine Sisterhood.

During the panel discussion, we feasted on words of wisdom on subjects ranging from stress management to money management. I can honestly say that after the event, I was empowered and encouraged to continue to pursue my dream of business ownership while still maintaining my role as mother and wife. It can be done!

Hi Lahronda, out of all the ladies on that page none of them could do it as well as you. You are my inspiration and I thank God that he used me to usher you into this world, continue to trust and use the God given natural talents that you are blessed with and go forward.
